User experience design
Our approach to user experience (UX) design and information architecture is firmly rooted in our research beginnings. We take a user-centric, evidence-based approach to all design work. A solid, foundational information architecture design will clarify how the online application’s information is organized, how different groups of information relate to each other and how they can be optimally labeled.
All UX design work is based on one or more of the following inputs:
- Content audits
- Heuristic reviews
- Competitive reviews
- Stakeholder interviews
- Enablers of, and barriers to, navigation that emerge during usability testing with target audience
- Results from card sorting exercises with target audience
We are strong promoters of a mobile first approach to UX design, and ensuring an appropriate mobile strategy is employed (e.g. responsive design vs. mobile site).
